Hi, My name is Sylviane. I live in the Netherlands, aka Holland. Close to the Belgium border. I'm married, I have a 6 year old daughter, Iris. I'm a fan of sci-fi and Battlestar Galactica (old and new) in particular. I love to read Horror, detectives and fantasy/sci-fi. I discovered Matthew through Richard Hatch, Battlestar Galactica's original Captain Apollo, off course replaced by Jamie Bamber in the new series, he led me to Horatio Hornblower, which led me to Ioan Gruffudd... allright you get the link. When I discovered Matthew was friend of Ioan's, I found out that I already had two DVD's of Matthew's. Namely Abduction Club and Titus. I had not immediately made the link between Strang and Demetrius.. Go figure! Holland recently started broadcasting B&S (We're at episode 4, no 5 coming up next Wednesday) and I'm hooked!! Of Matthew's projects I've seen so far, I think 'House of America' is his best. I'm crazy about 'Very Annie Mary' because it's such a wonderful 'feel good'movie and I absolutely adore him on 'Whatever happened to Harold Smith?' That early 70's hair! ;D So far my introduction. Sylviane

Hey! Glad to have you here. I saw a lot of our new members signed on to Ioan Online as the clock ticked to the end and it made me a little wistful. IO is still up but I'm assuming it'll shutdown when the business day begins and they realize April hasn't paid her bill after closing up shop. I love knowing we can still have contact with each other through this and Ioan Zone so let's hope too many folks don't have too bad a taste in their mouth about this to avoid the new Ioan board or a lack of interest in Mattie, otherwise I'm not sure where we'll see each other. Lovely bio, by the way. Battlestar Galactica fans have excellent taste I must say. Just as April had some pet interests in Farscape and Lord of the Rings we'll probably set up some things like that, purely for our own edification. Battlestar Galactica is one that I might put in that category. Can you believe we have to wait until 2008 for new shows? Wow. I'd have known whether they're showing reruns on Sunday except I just took it as an opportunity to watch Brothers & Sisters without worrying about taping BSG.

Hi Sylviane, Good to see you here. Thanks for all your support for this forum at IOL, we really appreciated it. House of America and Very Annie Mary are my favourite Mattie films as well. The first he's so good in and the second has my two favourite welsh boys in it .
