I loved Matt in this. It's such a feel good film. The kind I watch over and over again. hehe.
Great Italian too.

He looks great when he's wet!!! So NOT predictable! I have been wondering about the Italian though. Is it really good? It sounds great, but then, I don't speak Italian. I mean, every time I hear Ioan Gruffudd speak French in Horatio Hornblower I have to smile because he has an obvious accent. Not that I mind, I think it is cute. Just wondering if Matthew has an accent in Italian as well? Or did Alice Evans teach him how to say things? She apparently speaks fluent Italian.

I think Italian is easier for the Welsh than for the English since they speak with a rolling r. I couldn't detect an accent. French is a bit more tricky so I'm not surprised Ioan couldn't disguise his nationality.
Indeed, Alice studied Modern Languages.

The Italian Matthew speaks in The Abduction Club is the only Italian I know- I have it committed to memory! Why can't I remember what I need to remember that well?? As well as Alice there would have been linguists and trained vocal coaches on set to make sure the accents weren't too abysmal!! Beca
